At last i think we are getting to grips with this , its not the walking its all the arrangements around the event , so i was glad this week 8 May that someone at work agreed to Drive their car a seven seater for us. Before this it was an issue as a minibus was going to cost about £350 pound and 1 driver.

So we are booked in the youth hostel  at the foot of Ben Nevis , have  transport sorted.

Walking preparations  have been going ok , i have walked the edale loop carrying  my son which is about 6 miles.
Plenty of running.
Plus the Edale three peaks( my term) which is about 12 miles , up the hill to the north of Edale along and down Jacobs ladder , then over Mam Tor into Castleton  and back over the Hill at Barkers Bank to Edale a trip of 12 miles.
About half the distance of the 3 peaks , so a long way to go yet but at the end of it felt good and could have gone longer, apart from a pulled calf muscle!
